Cape Arthur

Cape Arthur is home to one of the nicer beaches on the Magothy River and to the spectacular Lydia E. Giddings Memorial playground which features many different types of playground equipment, a tennis court, basketball court and open space complete with soccer and lacrosse goals, which serves as a gathering point for many in the neighborhood with younger children. Also within the neighborhood is the brand new Folger McKinsey Elementary School and its new amenities. The beach area features a sandy beach, picnic area, boat ramp, pier with slips, as well as storage racks for kayaks etc. While the community does not have its own pool, many residents are members at the nearby North Cape Arthur Swim Club. Cape Arthur is a very active community with frequent well-attended community events.
