West Severna Park

West Severna Park is a very desirable neighborhood of 238 homes directly across from the new Severna Park High School with access to the Severn River. The West Severna Park beach is the deepest sandy beach in Severna Park, and has playground equipment, a pavilion, restrooms and a pier directly adjacent. While all Severna Park neighborhoods are constantly turning over, none seems to be doing so quite as fast as West Severna Park, where full-scale renovations and additions seem to be occurring on nearly every street. The neighborhood has an active Mom’s club which does Mom’s night out-type events and several community-organized events throughout the year, including their annual fishing derby, Oktoberfest, adult-only luau and X-mas tree bonfire. Informally, Friday evenings during the summer are always a popular time for residents to gather at the beach.

West Severna Park also rates very highly on the walkability index, just over ¼ mile from the B&A Trail and about ½ mile from the B&A Retail Area, which features many of our favorite local shops, no to mention being across the street from the new Severna Park High School.

While not technically part of the neighborhood, the Severn River Swim Club is located within West Severna Park and is the pool of choice for many in West Severna Park, Olde Severna Park, Linstead, Round Bay and other nearby neighborhoods, with a wait list time of several years.
